Don't Look Back in Anger

Look Back in Anger was published in 1957 by John Osborne, an British playwright who belonged to the Angry Young Men group generation. As Robert Stewart remarks "Look Back in Angen is seen as an expression of frustration with Britain's post war situation. Britain's economy was slow to recover from the war nand the inadequate response of an outdated elite that still clung to ideas of empire and privilege fueled dissesion that is given voice in Jimmy Porter, the protagonist of Osborne's play. In many ways he is a rebel with cause"
