I gotta feeling

Joalán B. has thought of sharing his favourite song with us: the massive hit, I gotta feeling by The Black Eyed Peas, who started being worldly recognized after Where is the Love? Lots of flash mob has been done with this song

Beans are very popular among British for breakfast. Basically, they just buy a tin of them in tomato sauce and warm them up to be served with the eggs, sausage and bacon or to be eaten as a snack with jacket potatoes.  The black eyed peas are as their name shows, a kind of bean with a sort of black eye. lynnescountrykitchen.net has done a good classification where you can identify different kind of them

Here you are  the activities you should do about the song

1.Correct the mistakes in the first extract.

Tonight the night
Let live it ap
I've got me money
Let’s spend it up
Go out and smash it
Like all my Goods
Jump of that sofa*
Let get get of*

I know that we’ll have a ball
If we get down
And go out
And just loose it all
I feel stressed out
I wanna let it go
Lets go way out spaced out
And losing all control

*Fill up my cup
Look at her dancing
Just take it off
Lets paint the town
We’ll shut it down
Let’s burn the roof
And then we’ll do it again*2

Lets Do it (x4)

Lets do it (x2)
Let’s live it up
Lets do it…
Here we come
Here we go
We gotta rock
Easy come
Easy go
Now we on top
Feel the shot

Body rock
Rock it, don’t stop
Round and round
Up and down
Around the clock

Revise the days of the week with your beginners. Beware with the spelling of Thursday!

Monday, Tuesday,
Wednesday, and Thursday
Friday, Saturday
Saturday to Sunday

Get get get get get with us
You know what we say
Party every day
Party every day

2. Put the verbs in past: know, go, be, lose, do, come

A remark on the use of modals: You may wonder what gotta means. There is a modal verb to express obligation which is have to. Due to the proximitiy with the verb expressing possession have got, the modal got contaminated, becoming a time where in colloquial language, have dissapear. A phonetic process is also observed as got and the mark of full infinitive, to become a single word too.
