If Today Was Your Last Day

One of my best students, Jaume, who doesn't own a company, but he will in the future, has done three of the following exercises.
The central idea of the song If Today Was Your Last Day, let you revise the literary topic of carpe diem, "seize the day". You may also want to revise rhyme and 2nd conditional(with the use of subjuntive, was/were) .

1. Complete the blanks with the appropriate words.

My best friend gave me the best ______
He said each day's a gift and not a given right
Leave no stone unturned, leave your fears _____
And try to take the path less traveled by
That first step you take is the ____ stride

If today was your last day
And tomorrow was too ____
Could you say goodbye to yesterday?
Would you live each moment like your last?
Leave old ____ in the past
Donate every dime you have?
If today was your last day

Against the grain should be a way of ____
What's worth the prize is always worth the fight
Every second counts because there's no second try
So live like you'll never live it ____
Don't take the free ride in your own life

chorus

Would you call old friends you never see?
Reminisce old _____
Would you forgive your enemies?
Would you ____ that one you're dreaming of?
Swear up and down to God above
That you finally fall in ___
If today was your last day

If today was your last day
Would you make your mark by mending a broken ____?
You know it's never too late to shoot for the stars
Regardless of ____ you are
So do whatever it takes
Because you can't rewind a moment in this life
Let nothing stand in your ____
Cause the hands of time are never on your side

Chorus 1 + 2
